Yeah, I downloaded CoD UO from
Direct2Drive: Download PC Games and Arcade Games Now at D2D (I actually had to pay for it, and no, it isn't a bootleg site, so don't start giving me shit, please). It's actually an .exe file that starts the installation, and the CD Key is put into a .dll file which is located in the Call of Duty folder, so I actually don't need a valid CD Key. The problem is that when I start CoD UO, I get a message that says "3 sound files are missing or corrupted." And if you read the title,
NO...RE-INSTALLING DOESN'T WORK. TRIED IT AT LEAST 6 TIMES.
and rebooting after installations of both Call of Duty and Call of Duty United Offensive didn't make it work, either.
The three sound files are:
'sound/misc/mouse_click.wav'
'sound/misc/mouse_over.wav'
'sound/music/mainmenu1.mp3'
and it tells me to "reset the Hunk ok"
So if anyone can just e-mail these three sound files to me at
Gershwiller@hotmail.com, I'd appreciate it...and it'd save me another 20 bucks (since I probably have a bad version of it. And if anyone uses direct2drive, re-downloading the setup didn't work, either).
