need help I now this is out in left field, but I have no one else to turn to for assistance. If you have the time I would be greatly appreciated. Here is my problem that I have been trying to fix for a week now and I'm about to hang it up. I rented a server from a company that has no other call of duty uo customers, so they have not been able to help. At first, I was able to learn how to load mod maps and play them. But the download speed on a 4mb map took 20 minutes, so while surfing I found out to make it faster you need a website. So I got one, here comes the hard part. For some reason I can not get it to work by following the call of duty patch or redirect. So, this is why I'm here. I was playing online and one of your members suggested it. I think most of my problems may be from the server company because they did not set me up right. Below is how I load mods onto the server: I log into a program called warp9 game server control panel supplied by the company I rent the server. Next I click on filemanager which brings up the following folders awe_uo, Main, miles, pb, and uo. Below are the files I see with the above mention folders: binkw32.dll, cgamex86.dll, cod.bmp, CoDMP.exe, CoDSP.exe, CoDUOMP.exe, CoDUOSP.exe, EaxMan.dll, gamex86.dll, localization.txt, mss32.dll, Shortcut to CoDUOMP.exe.lnk, uix86.dll, uoservercache.dat, uo_cgamex86.dll, uo_gamex86.dll, uo_uix86.dll, and version.inf. Now on this game server I click on the uo folder and add my modded maps to this folder because it has what I believe to be the server.cfg file but it is not called that, it is called dedicated.cfg. Here is what I believe the path to be: uo/dedicated.cfg After getting a domain name, the server company supplied me with the web space. It is gggraveyard.com I log into another link (this program is called cpanel x) provided by the game server to ftp the maps into. When I click on file manager I get the following: .cpanel-datastore, .htpasswds, .neomail, .trash, cod_maps, mail, public_ftp, public_html, tmp, www, Create New File, .contactemail, .cpanel-ducache, and .lastlogin. As you can tell I created a folder called cod_maps: this is where I ftp the maps to on the web site. Also I have noticed two other .cfg files located on the game server within the folder of awe_uo the .cfg files are called uoconfig_mp.cfg and awe.cfg. I can tell the awe.cfg is used to alter game play only. What I don't know is why the uoconfig_mp.cfg looks so close to the dedicated.cfg. If I make changes to the dedicated.cfg do I have to also make the same changes to the uoconfig_mp.cfg? Re: need help Your problem is this: you cannot redirect from a folder on your webspace called cod_maps. This is because the game will only redirect from one which matches where the server keeps its games files - in this case 'uo' (or 'main'). Renames the folder on your webspace to 'uo'. Then, in the rediect cvars, have this: // HTTP Redirection set sv_allowDownload "1" set sv_wwwDownload "1" set sv_wwwDlDisconnected "1" set sv_wwwBaseUrl "http://www.gggraveyard.com/" You dont include the info for the actual folder the maps are in, coz the server finds that itself. If you cannot rename the folder on your webspace to 'uo', create a folder inside this, and call it 'uo'. Put all your maps and mods in there.
