| We recently redirected our map downloads to one of our webspaces. It worked great getting almost 200k/sec downloads for some people. But it made people download every custom map on the server, not just the one currently playing. This eats up a lot of our bandwidth on the webspace. Is there anyway of making the download limit to just the active map? -Photog

| What game? What are your redirect details? Post them and I'll check them for you. |

| I am sorry it is CoD UO. We are running the awemod 2.0. The redirects commands are in the our awe cfg. // HTTP Redirection set sv_allowDownload "1" set sv_reconnectlimit "3" set sv_wwwDownload "1" set sv_wwwDlDisconnected "0" set sv_wwwBaseUrl "http://fkclan.unitedfrag.net/codfiles" Everything works great except it makes players download all the maps they don't have, not just the one that is running. Our server is pure, which might have something to do with it. -Photog

| No, setting a server to pure only has an affect on a player joining a server - it avoids a checksum (where the server compares its files with the players' files). to get the downloads per map played, create a subdirectory (folder) inside codfiles, and call it 'uo'. So the root would be http://fkclan.unitedfrag.net/codfiles/uo. Now place all your downloads in that 'main' folder. Don't alter the server cvar - leave it as it is. Don't add in the 'uo' folder - coz the server will add it in itself. You will now find that the dls are per map played. The reason this is happening is that the game looks for a folder which matches its own - uo. So, if it finds one called 'uo' it will only download the files that are currently being used in that folder. If you don't name the folder, the server thinks all files are needed and so downloads them all. Thats a bit hard to get your head round, but its all to do with the server comparing files. Even setting the server to not perform a checksum doesn't completely get around the file comparison. |

| That is how it is setup. The map Adlerstein for example is in http://fkclan.unitedfrag.net/codfile...adlerstein.pk3 In a folder called uo. And the cvar in the cfg file is... set sv_wwwBaseUrl "http://fkclan.unitedfrag.net/codfiles" No uo in it. I found if they maps were not in the uo or main folder inside the codfiles folder they would not download at all. The download would keep searching for a uo or main folder inside the codfiles folder. -Photog

| You could try calling the map folder on your webspace 'main'. Then it will dl the maps to the client's 'main' folder. I've just noticed - you have a 'false' (0) for set sv_wwwDlDisconnected "0". This should be true, i.e. "1". Also, take out the limit cvar - set sv_reconnectlimit "3". |
