Unhappy SCREEN GOES BLACK/GRAY (caps)

hello people.

i have a problam for cod and all other games i have. you see, i like to play games but for some reason my pc crashes in a strange way, that i have never seen before. i'll be playing and my screen will go black/gray and that's it i cant press alt-ctrl-del or anything. sometimes it will make a 'brooming' noise like its shuting down. somtimes- i cant really explain so ill tell you like this... you know when your watching tv? well if you go close up to your tv you will see little box'es - and that what SOMTIMES happens to my pc allso. (screen will like sorta zoom in and makes little box'es like if you look close up at a tv) i know this sounds strange but i want to be able to just sit down at my pc and play without worrying about my pc crashing. it wont do anything for a long time then... boom it does it... then i switch my game back on... boom it does it.... if anyone could help me it would be great. thank you.

ps. my pc specs are
AMD Duron(tm)
1.80 GHz
256MB or RAM
my graphics card: is gforce 2 mx 200 (64MB) and yes i have most up to date drivers.
ps. thank you for your time to help this poor little gamer

ps.the patch is 5.1 and the game is cod 1 or w/e. but i dont think that matters cos this problam happens with all games i have.

Its almost certainly your graphics card. Sounds like the AGP bus has gone.

Fraid the only real answer is to get another card (or get your present one repaired).

Hey Hawk, thanks for the pm asking for help, but I'm sorry to say but Tally is right.

Its def your graphics card. You'll need to get a new one. If its not your graphics card (which sounds like it) it could be the worse which is the motherboards agp slot.

I would suggest either buying a new graphics card or take your pc to a pc repairer and see what they say. Knowing some places they could charge just for looking at it, but I would highly suggest your buying a new graphics card as they are very cheap now:

www.ebuyer.com is an excellent place to buy from and their graphics cards are around *20 - *30 for a 128MB Radeon or *20 - *30 for a Geforce FX.

Sorry for the bad news
