OK, to get into console there are 2 things to note
In mp, simply press the '`' key ( to the left of the 1 key). You can do this either while on the main screen, or ingame (no need for the 'shift' key as Monster_User said).
In sp, you need to 'activate' it first. To do this, you must start sp with the developers pack (this gives you cheats, modding facilities, etc). Start CODSP.exe from the Windows run command, but add this string: +set thereisacow 1337 +set developer 1 +set sv_cheats 1 +set monkeytoy 0.
So, at the run command type in full the following: "C:\Program Files\Call of Duty\CoDSP.exe" +set thereisacow 1337 +set developer 1 +set sv_cheats 1 +set monkeytoy 0
Change the location if you have installed COD anywhere else (as the example given is the default location)
This will give you access to console. And you only need to do it once.
Cheats available in SP mode:
* god - Invulnerability
* give "object name" - "object name" is some object in game such as BAR
* give all - give all items
* give ammo - maximum ammunition
* give health - fully heals
* g_gameSkill - Sets game skill level
* jumptonode - Jumps to specific part of map
* kill - kill self
* notarget - Enemies will not shoot you
* noclip - walk through walls
* timescale X - Alters speed of game, X is a multiplier
* ufo - fly
Thanks..got it working..next problem. The game works fine (sp) up until I get to the damn...then my fps varies between 60 and 2. ANy ideas??? I've got everything down to min...sync is off, hunkmeg set to 128 etc...Any ideas from anyone??
thanks
You could try adjusting the fps rate. In console, type /com_maxfps DESIREDFPS.
What graphics card do you have? This will also affect your fps on certain parts of the game as different parts of it are more of a burden on your central cpu. They are more cpu hungrey. A good graphics card will take the burden off your cpu.
If you post your crads make, I may be able to tell you where to get a soft mod for it. These are programs which unlock 'hidden' features in grphics cards, like extra pixel pipes, etc.
I already did the desiredfps...I'm using an older radeon...not sure of the model 7600?? I think...I'll have to find out. I wasn't sure why one part of the game would be such a big difference. Thanks for the reply
