Mouse and laptop Issues

I dont know if this is suppose to go in this thread but meh Praetorian will be nice I hope. Anyway. I have my CoD for my Dell Laptop. Of course its not the easiest thing to play with the stick and the pad so i borrowed my friends Dell mouse. Plugged it in works fine when I do anything besides CoD. But when I play CoD ill get going for maybr 5 mins and then it will just randomly freeze. If I do not have the mouse plugged it it does not freeze. Anyone know how to fix this?

Is the mouse USB or PS2? Also, have you installed the driver for it, or not?
