Major Problem Loading ok heres the story, my clan is updating to 1.4 so i updated i started playing could only play that first new map it says no pk.3 files so i usually fix this by reinstalling, well i reinstalled it all went well then i went to load up Cod it closes and said "Fatal Error:: User Infterface is version 9, expected 7" i press ok (only option) and a CoD console loads, it doesnt have an area to type but at the type near the title it has that quote flashing in red. This is what the console says:COD MP 1.1 build win-x86 Oct 8 2003 ----- FS_Startup ----- Current language: english Current search path: C:\PROGRA~1\CALLOF~1\main\zzz_Officer.pk3 (13 files) C:\PROGRA~1\CALLOF~1\main\user-mymod.pk3 (2 files) C:\PROGRA~1\CALLOF~1\main\paka.pk3 (41 files) C:\PROGRA~1\CALLOF~1\main\pak9.pk3 (149 files) C:\PROGRA~1\CALLOF~1\main\pak8.pk3 (235 files) C:\PROGRA~1\CALLOF~1\main\pak6.pk3 (3 files) C:\PROGRA~1\CALLOF~1\main\pak5.pk3 (4858 files) C:\PROGRA~1\CALLOF~1\main\pak4.pk3 (1668 files) C:\PROGRA~1\CALLOF~1\main\pak3.pk3 (1992 files) C:\PROGRA~1\CALLOF~1\main\pak2.pk3 (694 files) C:\PROGRA~1\CALLOF~1\main\pak1.pk3 (2642 files) C:\PROGRA~1\CALLOF~1\main\pak0.pk3 (12828 files) C:\PROGRA~1\CALLOF~1\main\chris-mymod.pk3 (2 files) C:\PROGRA~1\CALLOF~1/main C:\PROGRA~1\CALLOF~1\main\localized_english_pak1.p k3 (3736 files) localized assets pak file for english C:\PROGRA~1\CALLOF~1\main\localized_english_pak0.p k3 (1204 files) localized assets pak file for english File Handles: ---------------------- 30067 files in pk3 files execing default_mp.cfg couldn't exec language.cfg execing config_mp.cfg couldn't exec autoexec_mp.cfg Hunk_Clear: reset the hunk ok ...detecting CPU, found Intel Pentium III Measured CPU speed is 2.53 GHz System memory is 254 MB (capped at 1 GB) Video card memory is 64 MB Streaming SIMD Extensions (SSE) supported Winsock Initialized Opening IP socket: localhost:28960 Hostname: DJ8TKW31 IP: 69.142.196.186 ----- Client Initialization ----- Resolving codmotd.activision.com Couldn't resolve address ----- Initializing Renderer ---- ------------------------------- ----- Client Initialization Complete ----- ----- R_Init ----- Initializing OpenGL subsystem ...initializing QGL ...calling LoadLibrary( 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\opengl32.dll' ): succeeded ...setting mode 3: 640 480 FS ...using colorbits of 32 ...calling CDS: ok ...registered window class ...created window@0,0 (640x480) Initializing OpenGL driver ...getting DC: succeeded ...GLW_ChoosePFD( 32, 24, 8 ) ...41 PFDs found ...hardware acceleration found ...PIXELFORMAT 6 selected ...creating GL context: succeeded ...making context current: succeeded Initializing OpenGL extensions ...using OpenGL 1.2 draw element range ...using OpenGL 1.3 texture add environment mode ...using OpenGL 1.3 texture combine environment mode ...using OpenGL 1.3 texture dot3 environment mode ...using OpenGL 1.3 cube map textures ...GL_ARB_vertex_program not found ...GL_NV_texture_shader not found ...GL_NV_register_combiners not found ...using WGL_EXT_swap_control ...using OpenGL 1.3 multitexture ...using GL_EXT_compiled_vertex_array ...using OpenGL 1.2 normal rescaling ...GL_ATI_pn_triangles not found ...GL_ARB_vertex_buffer_object not found ...GL_NV_fog_distance not found ...GL_NV_vertex_array_range not found ...GL_NV_fence not found ...GL_ATI_vertex_array_object not found ...GL_ATI_fragment_shader not found ...ignoring GL_EXT_texture_filter_anisotropic GL_VENDOR: Intel GL_RENDERER: Intel Brookdale-G GL_VERSION: 1.3.0 - Re: Major Problem Loading Its the same with all versions if you are using one version of the game but try and use a different version: v1.1, v1.2, v1.3, v1.4 and v1.5 Question I receive an error: user interface is version 8, expected 7 Answer This issue will occur if you attempt to use the 1.0 Multiplayer executable on a machine with the 1.2 patch installed. Ensure you are using a the patched 1.2 executable. Uninstall the game, then reinstall to the default folder. 1) Click Start, Settings, Control Panel. 2) Double-click Add/Remove Programs. 3) Uninstall Call of Duty. 4) Delete the Call of Duty folder from your hard drive - C:\Program Files\Call of Duty by default. 5) Run scandisk and defrag on your hard drives. 6) Reinstall the game to the default directory. 7) Apply the patch as desired. You need to uninstall the whole game and then delete the call of duty folder and then download the 1.4 or 1.5 patch then reinstall the game and apply the patch, this should sort your problem out. |
Re: Major Problem Loading alrite thanks alot man, but how do you run scandisk and defrag??? |
Re: Major Problem Loading Depends on your OS (windows 98,me,xp) Defrag is located: Start - Programs - Accessories - System Tools Scan Disk: My Computer - Right click on the hard drive/s and click properties, click Tools and you'll see it in that menu. |
