patch help

when i bought the game i had to manually install it for some reason. now the 1.2 patch installer says "i don't have the game installed, please install the game before runnin patch program". what is the default install directory?

Usually the default directory is the C: directory, unless you have two (or more) hard drives

if they'd just given us HQ and Punkbuster and let me have custom maps installed without telling me i've got invalide .pk3 files everytime i try to connect to a server that doesnt run them, thats all that we needed.
