Editing and existing Mod

Hello,
I am new to this forum and like many of you am completly addicted to the COD and MOH games. I have used mods to change some of the sounds in the games, but am having a hard time finding one in which I like all of the sounds. Is there a way to select certain sounds of different mods? For example: I like the MP40 and MG42 sound in band of brothers but I dislike the sounds for the Thompson, M1 and the Russian weapons. I like the Thompson and M1 in MOH but not the MP40 and MG42. I have read some of the posters responses saying that you can select which of the "PK" files you want to delete, but my knowledge of this is to limited to do this. I was hoping an experienced modder can give me some simple to follow instructions on this if it is possible. Thanks in advance.
