Install Error textures.big

Whenever I try to install cc generals I get an error. check and make sure that textures.big is located in the directory, which it is but when I look at the disk the file on the cd is larger than that in the directory. I tried it on two different machines, getting the same error. I have no clue what is going on. Please help. thanks

What if you overwrite the textures.big in the install directory with the textures.big in data2.cab on the second Generals disk.
