I cant install Generals on my Laptop Will someone Please help me ? I am trying to install Generals onto my Laptop. My Laptop will not reconize the disk in the drive. It shows a blank drive, and when I open " My Computer " it also shows the drive empty. If I click on the drive, it tells me to insert a disk. It works fine with my desktop. Please HELP me ! I am running a HP 7360 with XP SP2 installed and a 3.2ghz Pentium 4 peocessor. With a nvidia 5700 Graphics Card and 100g of Ram and a 100g Hard Drive. Can someone help me? I have tried everything and every forum site, no one knows. Gary gah@comcast.net |
Re: I cant install Generals on my Laptop your disc must be messed up so that the drive will not read it. All I can tell you to do is to get another copy by e-mailing Ea or buying another copy. Also your disc drive may be messed up. |
Re: I cant install Generals on my Laptop Thanks, but I am able to play other games on that same drive, and the disk plays great in my desktop. Hmmmmmmm Thanks Gary |
Re: I cant install Generals on my Laptop ya... my Dad has a lap top and somegames won't play on his, but some laptops just won't install it, but I have one idea (It worked 4 me) Idea: start up your lap top, then put your cnc zero hour in, do a COLD SHUT DOWN, then start it back up and it might see the CD. P.S. love your avitar, I used to play that game when I was 8, I never knew what to do... but it was fun and some can say "old school" |
Re: I cant install Generals on my Laptop Thanks for the tip Mr. Funsock.....I'll give it a try right now. Leisure Suit Larry just isn't what it used to be. |
