Rangers having Flashbangs & Building Capture
 
Basically i need to know how to get Rangers to have Flashbangs & Building Capture from the beggining. Anyone know?

When i change the ranger to not need building capture i get the use of building capture but the icon on his bar dosen't work. Any ideas? As for flashbangs i have no idea i give hi weapons condition = None so he should get it straight away but the flashbangs don't become available...Why :( ?

all you do is change the flash bang and Capture building build time and cost to 0 and then just click on the button and it will be upgraded instantly and for free

Yea but thats sorta you know un professional. Maybe make them cost less though :D! I'd still rather give them it for free though. Give them it from beginning be cool.

The answer you seek is in commandbutton ini, in the options line remove NEED_UPGRADE and that will do it.

That is assuming you have modified the module tags in the rangers coding correctly.

Mind telling me how its done correctly? But i'll check the commandbutton.ini thx :D but is their anyways to only remove the need for upgrade for the laser general only?

What about this, in the commandbutton .ini if i added another Building capture upgrade? that requires no upgrade to use it and give that to the ranger?

Like this:

By commenting out the upgrade modules for the flash bangs and the building capture,

also by commenting outthe default weaponset and making the upgrade weaponset condtionstate = none.

Finally in module tag 18,

Behavior = SpecialAbility ModuleTag_18
SpecialPowerTemplate = SpecialAbilityRangerCaptureBuilding
;UpdateModuleStartsAttack = Yes
;StartsPaused = Yes ; Unpaused by upgrade module
InitiateSound = RangerVoiceCapture
End.

Just make sure you comment out the unpaused upgrade module.

The laser general has his own ranger in his LaserGeneral file. Just make all your changes in ths file only and only Laser dude gets the no-need-for-upgrades-ranger

Ahh Great. Just to clerify it up

in commandbutton.ini i remove the NEED_TO_UPGRADE
then remove the Triggerdby = Player_upgrade and such. Sounds ok?

Just so there is no confusion, here tis, just do what Ive done to the ranger in this file, to the laser gen's file.
