Re: pow That would just be plain rude scipio!! What's a Snafu? The saying originated in the U.S. Military during World War 2 as a sarcastic comment about standard operating procedures. "Situation Normal, All Fucked Up!" Snafu is now used to indicate any foul up. Fouled up is just the cleaner version I suppose. |

FUBAR is 'fucked up beyond all recognition'. Any similarity to furchtbar is pure coincidence. If you think about it, GI's would be more likely to use a military acronym than an enemy word. Yes?? |
:agreed 100% correct :spamtastic |
Re: pow many thanks scipio africanus |
Most people call me Scorpio, like the zodiac. I applaud you for the distinction. :bows: |
Re: pow i guess most peeps can't read and i can huh?? I seem to remember Scipio Africanus from Gladiator. Famous Roman General I believe... We who are about to die salute you!! |
Re: pow Yep, he defeated Hannibal, i think. Not Anthony Hopkins the Carthaginian Hannibal. |
Re: pow "My history's a little hazy Cassius, but aren't the Barbarians supposed to lose the battle of Carthage!?" |
