Multiple Mods

is it possibly to use two or three different mods for generals?
I kinda new to the mod/editing scene.
I see a few mods I'd like to add, but not sure if they will work well together. or how..if even possible...to combine a few new things from each mod into on "newer" mod and use that?? it sounds like it would work...
I can probably answer my own question here... but just wanna be positive or find out how to do this.

The majority of mods out there edit the same files to create the new affects. So trying to run more then one at a time wont work, they will just over-write each other. If your feeling brave you can open up the Ini's for all the mods and then combine the new code together into one Uber mod, but that would be a big pain in the ass. My suggestion is to find a favorite mod and stick with it.
