Driving Ghost is a n00b
Default Renegade > Generals

First of all: Hi I'm new . Also, I am a newb at modding. As it seems that I can't post in the Guide to Modding for Beginners and Useful Websites thread, I tought I just as wel make one.

Lets get to the point, wich is: I realy cant find a tutorial about taking Renegade models out of the game and putting them into Generals. As they both use .W3d's as there unit/vehicles ect. files, I took the Cargo Plane W3d and its skin out of Renegade and put the W3d and the textures in the places they need to be in. What happend: Not a thing. Only one big smoking trail. I have been working on this piece of changing for a few days, and i was wondering if some of you more experianced modders could tell me what i shoud do.

If my grammar sucks, I am sorry. Broke one of my arms. Also, If you attend to flame me, plz dont.
Hope somebody can help me on this perhaps easy problem.

you must have something like gmax, and renX. or 3ds max 6-8 or something, import the models, resize, put in generals folder\Art\W3D\ and thats it, then do the coding, in the INI.

or just put the models there, and edit the INI's
