Spawning Beacons in Skirmish
 

Hiya :rolleyes: I'd like to make my Spydrone deploy a beacon aswell as the drone that I can delete or ideally that would despawn itself after X amount of time. I've tried

Command = SPECIAL_POWER PLACE_BEACON

Which basically makes it place a beacon along with the spy drone. The problem is in skirmish these beacons can't be deleted. I've also tried adding

CreateObject MultiplayerBeacon
End

to the spydrones OCL but that won't spawn the beacon at all. Does anybody have any idea how I could achieve the above?

hmmm i checked the multiplayer file i think YOU SHOULD LOOK AT BECON properties, becoze i think its something that makes it able to only spawn in multi. I know what but i forget :P I try do this when i success i inform you in this thread.

no that makes it only allowed three beacons per player per time, o and duke uv helped me before so could you look at the POWERPLANT forum it would help, try copying and changing the entire beacon script or giving it a health and that it spawns toxin so it kills its self.

Well im not sure this will work but i think its the right thing to do. Firstly have a look at the stinger sites code, there should be something in there that has the respawn module.
Next in the OCL of the spydrone change the object created to an immobile, unselectable, un-radar. Give this the needed code from the stinger site. and make the code spawn the drone. This way when the drone dies it should respawn like the stinger soldiers do in the stinger sites.
