model help

I was just wondering. I'm trying to make models, and for some reason i can't install GMax, and i don't want to pay for anything than what i have.
Does anyone know if I would be able to use Milkshape to make models for Generals?? What file format does it have to be in?

Re: model help

Thanks, but when i go to download it, it says that the file or directory could not be found. That's what it ssays with every other gmax download site except for turbosquid, but that's the one that installs bluevoda.

I'm tired of looking for it. Could you just tell me what format the models have to in and if it is possible to use Milkshape?

:mEk:

Re: model help

Does this help tho:
Milkshape can import and export .3ds files, which it says are autodesk 3DS.
My question:
Is it .3ds that CnC generals uses, or isn't it something else? Is there a converter or something to do this?? If u could just tell me the format i could :google: it.
