Get the RenX Game pack for Gmax. It's pretty much GMax with some added features, originally for people making models for Renegade. It exports in the correct format, .w3d standard.

Theres a download for you.

I personally use Milkshape and Fragmotion then get it into RenX and then export it and such.

I kno this may be a little off topic, but i didn't feel like making another thread. I don't even kno if this would fall in the modding or editing section.
Hasn't anyone tried to get the official maps off the BIG file. i hav and its nice to see how EA made their maps

make sure the file is in the folder of the .big file your extracting from
