Default nukes, scuds & such

just curious as to where abouts you increase the damage that these do, i opened weapon.ini and changed the damage from 150 to 1000 (JUST TO SEE IF IT WORKS) and it did nothing to increase damage... i would also like that when a nuke hits and it does its actual damage impact i would like a huge white flash over the entire screen, as it only makes sense when you land a nuke it should temporarily blind you. do i have to change code for the particle cannon to make it the ion cannon? or just use multiple nukes as the ion cannon but change the damage type? like no radiation................ Thanks

your talking the actual superweapons, right?

here is the code for the nuke

Weapon NeutronMissileWeapon
PrimaryDamage = 0 ; not used for this weapon (it's "special")
PrimaryDamageRadius = 0 ; not used for this weapon (it's "special")
AttackRange = 99999 ; not used for this weapon (it's "special")
DamageType = RADIATION ; not used for this weapon (it's "special")
DeathType = NORMAL
WeaponSpeed = 99999 ; not used for this weapon (it's "special")
ProjectileObject = NeutronMissile
ProjectileExhaust = NeutronMissileExhaust
FireFX = WeaponFX_NeutronMissile
ProjectileDetonationFX = None ; not used for this weapon (it's "special")
RadiusDamageAffects = ALLIES ENEMIES NEUTRALS
DelayBetweenShots = 0 ; not used for this weapon (it's "special")
ClipSize = 1 ; not used for this weapon (it's "special")
ClipReloadTime = 0 ; not used for this weapon (it's "special")
AutoReloadsClip = No ; not used for this weapon (it's "special")
End

there is no point in changing the damage (obviously, u cant)

but if u want to change the detonation effects

... i forgot to update my generals on this computer - so im sure alot of stuff has changed, but anyways

where it says ProjectileDetonationFX

put WeaponFX_EMPPulseImpact

that should create the flash effect

im not sure, i havent done this in a while, i could be 100% wrong on this

masterquinn go into WeaponObject.INI you should find the NeutronMissile, once you find that scroll down untill you see some code like this:

Blast6Enabled = Yes
Blast6Delay = 1180 ;in milliseconds
Blast6ScorchDelay = 500 ;in milliseconds
Blast6InnerRadius = 100.0 ;objects inside this get the full damage
Blast6OuterRadius = 310.0 ;objects inside this get some of the full damage
Blast6MaxDamage = 5000.0 ;damage within inner radius of blast
Blast6MinDamage = 4000.0 ;always do at least this much damage to objects
Blast6ToppleSpeed = 0.35 ;higher #'s topple faster
Blast6PushForce = 10.0 ;higher #'s push more

This is what i just modded for you, All i did was increase the MaxDamage, Also keep your Mindamage BELOW your max damage number.

As for your Scudstorm go into Weapon.INI and find: Weapon ScudStormDamageWeapon and increase the PrimaryDamage to whatever you like mate.

Do you want the Particle Cannon as well??

i think i can figure the particle cannon out.... thanks

i seem to have a load error once i enter your code under neutron missle in weaponobjects.ini

; Reason Error parsing INI file 'Data\INI\Object\WeaponObjects.ini' (Line: 'Object NeutronBlastObject ')

i take out the code and it works..... are you talking about generals or zero hour?

ok... got it working... the only problem is i was increasing the damage to get rid of those damn gla holes... this must be some other script.. you have to nuke the buildings twice to remove the holes.. therefore there;s no point in nuking gla unless your getting rid of units. Oye... it never ends.........
