Simple Help I'm not a big modder or anything i just wanted to know the answer to a simple question how do you get new songs to play in zero hour during game...? I went to my main folder then to my audio folder and then to the tracks folder and deleted the tracks i didnt want and put in new ones with windows media player as the default opener. when i am in game only the initial default track plays then there is silence music wise and my tracks never play  i know this is a trivial problem but plz help me out i'll appreciate it :bows: |
Re: Simple Help Did you rename your new files to what they were called origanally. Example, for USA the two files are called USA_10 and USA_11. Did you make sure that they are mp3's also. |
Re: Simple Help Thank you, i'm not on my comp or at my house now but i'll make sure they are mp3's tomorrow...i dont recall having files named usa 10 or usa 11...i just deleted all the tracks. I'll restore them and check but if not i'll just rename my new files usa 10 and usa 11 will that work? And if it will work what are the names of the gla files and china's files. I appreciate your help :nodding: |
Re: Simple Help China - CHI_10, CHI_11 GLA- GLA_10, GLA_11 Make sure there in the Data/Audio/Tracks directory and that should work. |
Re: Simple Help Thank you yoda you are the man. I cant wait to see if it works |
Re: Simple Help hey yoda...i did what you said with the names...they are in mp3 format and say USA_1 and so on but my custom songs will only play at the main shell map and when i am selecting my map but will not play in games...a lone file is left from a mod i had which was custom song and it was named 9mm_From_Heavan and that plays in game...why dont mine? |
Re: Simple Help Hmm I don't know let me try. |
Re: Simple Help OK I got it now. What you have to do to have it play them in game is put your custom songs in C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour\Data\Audio\Tracks make sure they are mp3's. For China name them CHI_01, CHI_02, CHI_03,...,CHI_10 For Gla name them GLA_01, GLA_02, GLA_03,...,GLA_11 For USA name them USA_01, USA_02, USA_03,...,USA_11 If you want to add/delete tracks you will have to edit the Music.ini file in your data/ini folder, but you will have to extract it first, i like BixXTractor. Its on www.GeneralsFiles.com Well, That should work. Just make sure you don't froget the 0 in front of the 1,2,3 etc. ;) Let me know if that works. |
Re: Simple Help thanks yoda i'll try naming them what you said but i dont know what i have to do to edit the music.ini in the dada/ini folder? Right on with the Bush Cheney 04 Thank you for all your help...keep checking back in to see if i have anymore probs if you dont mind...thank you so much |
