Unhappy Reformat caused slowdown

I reformatted my PC 2 days ago. I reinstalled COD and now there is a lot of slowdown when I play. It's pretty much unplayable. I ran everything on max graphics before the reformat. It is still choppy after I lower the settings. I have downloaded all drivers and files, including DirectX 9.0b. Any ideas what might be wrong? Thanks

ouch, are you sure you were running all the current drivers before the re-format?

Nope. Gonna try another reformat when I get some time. Until then I'll still manage to get some kills with my bolt-action.
