if a mod isnt taking affect, its coz of something else taking over the handling of the same file.

A lot of the skins which are still being shown for dl from File Front or CoD files are old ones - no longer compatable with 1.5.

However, it is still possible to get them to work, just need to use the fs_game function to start the game.

Make sure you play on an unpure server, too.

In order to get this mod to work mp, you need a server-side and a client-side relationship: the mod must be on the server and in the players CoD folder.

To use the fs_game function (which is really the best way to use mods) is to create a new mod directory, or folder. And from here you run CoD.

So, create a new folder in the CoD directory (or folder). Call it something like 'mod'. This is now your fs_game directory. Place your skin mod in this folder.

Now, to run single player, edit the sp exe to include the switches:

"C:\Program Files\Call of Duty\CoDSP.exe" +fs_game mod "

For mp, as I said you will need the mod on the server as well. so, you cant go join a server without the mod installed as well. Only thing left is to start your own server, and set up the mod to dl to any players that join your server.

Place a copy of the mod in the 'main' folder. To get the mod to download from there you will have to include cvars for either a server dl or a redirect to some web space where you can have a copy of the mod for download.
