Rank & Kills

Hi,
For general multiplaying mode, is there a fixed ranking system?
As in how many kills = what rank?
Does number of deaths affect promotion,
say u got 10 kills but 50 deaths compared to 10 kills 10 deaths.

I think that your rank increases every 10 kills.

yes it does, every ten kills/points your rank increases one and it increases a total of 4 times (40 kills)
