Around a million. By the way, your sig is too large. It should be with the limits of 100x600.

Well, given that many people have an interest in the German SS, it's no surprise a lot of people use it in their names...

If you are making a clan, please don't call it the SS.

Having an original name helps make your clan stand out above the rest.

Orignial clan names help a clan stand out. Now adays there are so many clans with differnt names but same initials. I think it cool that some clans want to stay with the ww2 theme but you are right it dose get anoying or what bugs me are people calling themself lt.(name) or army rank names.

LOL! We've been [[l>SS<l]] (Secret Society) since the QuakeII days about 8yrs now when there was like 9 of us now it's 10X that. Then when we moved to WWII games it just fit nice. Tag was different then .:|SS|:. and it was at the end of your nick! Hell it used to say SS on our tree fort when we were kids and we had a Secret Society Club and that was like 30yrs ago. Now it's on our
LAN building (the new tree fort, my wife says!"
Your right though, everyone jumps on the SS thing now when making a clan.

Imagine my confusion when after having joined the 5th Division Wiking SS our first match was aginst the 5th Division SS. Took a while before I understood that it was not just an internal match.

I might have preferred a different name, but all these "-=666 Elite merzeneriez=-" looks really childish, so we can just as well stick with this name.
(Would be an altogether different thing if I started the clan, but I'm just happy to be in a good clan and that's it)

It's not really an "SS" problem, but more of a same division problem. You have a crap load of 101st, 82nd, 5thSS, 2ndSS, and so on. I don't see unique ones like 29thSS or 17thSS...or even like 5thMarine or 2ndPA. People tend to grab famous divisions instead of others. I mean...every man fought their hardest...at least show them some appreciation instead of turning the other cheek.:beer:Now, it's time for a nice cold beer and a good Nazi movie. :cya:

Re: How many clans have this name...

I created a clan about 2 years ago called the 506th (101st*). We broke up last March, but it seems like in the time that we've been broken up there has been so many clan with praticlly the same name. It's always a thought in my mind that I might have spawned something, but I highly doubt it.
