The rants forum is for people to vent about something that may have bothered them at some point. It is not a forum for flame fests. Keep the conversations tasteful in here. From this point on, I will be closing all threads that result in flame wars and recommending temp bans to the admins for repeat offenders.

I agree about the flame wars and how childish some replies can become, but is there a way to remove the unwanted replies instead of killing the thread? I would like to put a couple of thoughts in, but when it is dead it is also impossible.

Yes, mods do have the power to edit or delete certain posts, but when it's a flame war it's easier to just close the thread so people don't flame more.

Yes, posts are first either edited or deleted, and the poster is sent a PM or a short post will be made saying to calm down or whatever. Unfortunately sometimes a group of people can't control themselves and disregard multiple warnings so a thread has to be locked.

If you feel you have something to share, by all means start a new thread.
