The Similarities

I have just started to watch the Band Of Brothers TV Series, and it seems that Call of Duty starts off pretty much the exact same way. All though i havent watch the Whole series, so far in Band Of Brothers, The allies gone through training, parachuted in, did brecourt and carentan. Im not saying they ripped it off because its facts... im just saying watch the thing its crazy good.

Re: The Similarities

well I never thought it was a rip-offs... since its history so you cant exactly rip-off facts, but yea, you can see a lot of elements of good movies or good tv. So i geuss there more visual inspirations than, like, story wise...

Re: The Similarities

I have BOB its a good collection, but i hate when people always talk about E comany all the time. They are great, but there are 9 other companies in the 506th! Come on guys go out and read about them!!!! A great author is Donald Burgett, he was in A company and he has published a series taking you through training to the end of the war. And bob isnt all that historically accurate, but its really fun to watch.

Re: The Similarities

Well, Band of Brothers is a book whos title origionates from the St. Crispians (sp?) day speech in Shakespeare's Henry V.

Yes, Band of Brothers is sweet, I was watching it just the other night. To anyone who liked it, read the book by Stephen Ambrose. It is just as good.
