Radeon 7500

Anybody try playing COD2 with a Radeon 7500? Thanks.

From reading the documentation, its not a supported card, I know this isn't what you asked, but should let you know in case you are looking into getting it.

Re: Radeon 7500

I did read on the box that the Radeon 7500 wasn't supported. That's why I haven't purchased it. I'm curious to see if anyone has risked it and taken the plunge. Thanks for your post, though.

Re: Radeon 7500

If it isn't a supported card, what makes you think the game will run it?

Re: Radeon 7500

I don't believe it is that simple. My experience is that some games work with hardware that is not supported, but suffer from performance issues. The question then is will it work at all, and if so, will the performance deficiencies be so extreme as to make it not worth the bother. If you suspect otherwise, I would appreciate your reply.

Re: Radeon 7500

I personally doubt it'll work. When the first Brothers In Arms demo was released, I tried to install it on my Dad's PC which had an nVidia GeForce 4 MX and it wouldn't run. I'm inclined to believe this will be the case here.

You are probably correct. And thus I have not purchased COD2. Thanks for your input.

Re: Radeon 7500

You're welcome. If you had some extra cash, maybe you could try to purchase a new card. I've got a Radeon 9550, sure it's not the best out there, but it runs the game decently.

Re: Radeon 7500

I'm actually running CODUO on the laptop my firm provides me so I won't be buying a new video card for that computer. My own laptop, purchased in 2002, can't be upgraded. I guess I'll just have to wait. It's a bummer because COD2 looks pretty cool, and I imagine the number of people playing COD/CODUO online will continue to dwindle.

Yeah, too bad you can't upgrade it. a Geforce 5200/5700LE would do fine. they're really cheap now.
