I looked in the Doc file that came with KM...
Went to the FAQ...
I can't find how these things work...
Do the thrusters function if your impulse engines are disabled/destroyed?
i already asked the exact question a couple of weeks ago actually.
well, first of all you should assign buttons of your keyboard to each of the thrusters ( example > 8 for up, 2 for down, etc...)
you have to do this in the menu where you assign all the other functions as well.
@ Henze: Right. I saw the thrusters in Kiska's menu, but I was unable to operate them.

now youre ready to use your thrusters
i hope this is somewhat understandable
let me know if it works...or not
ciao, dan
So you're telling me I'll have to keybind them? In the actual game menu? I'll give that a go...
I noticed that, depending on the setting under Thrusters in Kiska's menu, that adjust the Speed setting in the bottom right corner of the screen... as high as setting 4...
...but your speed remains zero.
Occasionally, I see my speed increase to roughly 400+ kph. But I don't actually Thruster to the left or right or anything.
Am I to understand that the thruster mod doesn't actually turn (or aid in turning) the ship? I know for fact, that it shouldn't give me impulse speeds. But what is it suppose to do in game? And is mine operating properly?
First you have to activate "Thrusters" under Mutators.
Then assign Thruster Left, Right, Up and Down to a button.
Now your ship can move, not just turn, to the left, the right, up and down.
Under Thrusters in Kiska´s menu you set how fast the ship moves into each direction.
the thrusters don't control the existing Pitch, Yaw and Roll axis that the impulse engines do, instead, they control the X and Z axis, like in ST:II when Kirk orders Z minus 10,000 meters and the ship 'dives'
