ship designs
 

this thread is for people who would like to display their ships designs, they can be from any race, any era, or even from other sci-fi shows, and to discuss designs ideas, and any else thats design related.

well to start the thread i shall show u my 3 designs, there only basic, but hopefully theyll be enough. first 1st is the klingon feralbeast class, 2nd is the federation wolf class, and the last is the cardassian dranok class

nice ideas. post them in the ship request thread...and maybe someone is willing to make those ships for bc ;)

I would like to see the Cardassian Dranok class become a reality. Are you going to model them yourself? There will be a lot of vertex(s) and faces in that one.:cool:

i would love to create them but alas i dont have the skills to do them, thanks for the positive comments, i think ill just have to stick to designing them, and hope someone likes them enough to make them

We need concept designers too...
 

Well the designs are promising, so keep up the good work there. I'm forming a ship building crew, so if you like we'll see what we can do to make them a reality. I have a very talented modeler interested in joining, so it's quite possible this could be one of our first projects. PM me and let me know if you're interested.:cool:

To Yanlou, those failures are in the past. You're a member of the team now, and the future is definately bright. One of your drawings is on it's way to becoming a model, on my computer, as we speak. Everyone involved with this will surely learn from the process. That is the reason I started this to begin with. Don't underestimate you're importance in all of this, we only have one concept designer at this point and it's you.:cool:

awsome, ill give u a few details about the ships to help u, well the dranok class, is about 120-125m in length, if u was to see it on its side profile it would be quite slender, the ship is ment to be the cardassians counter part to the defient, and is built after the dominion war, the feralbeasts, size is inbetween the vorcha and neghvar, and is built to be a capital ship escort when the neghvar is used in a fleet,or has the main capital ship in a smaller fleet, the wolf class is only slightly larger then the saber class, and was another atempt from starfleet to create a ship to tackle the borg, i hope this helps a bit ill try and to osme front, rear, and side views of the designs, oh and iv got 2 or 3 more on the way thanks again

heres a few more concepts, first the bar'rok class, 2nd is the cho'vah class fighter the 3rd is the preylor class and last is the the dranok side view

are all of them, or at least so far, all Post Nemesis designs?

most are, i like designing quite futuristic star trek ships, but i always make sure theyre reconizable to which species im designing the ships for, i think the dranok is a either a post dominionwars design or a ship that was been designed during the dominion wars i havent decided yet,

That first federation ship you posted sort of reminds me in a strange way of the Steamrunner class

Whats the size of the Dranak in comparison of other cardassian ships by the way? it looks like its a mid way step between the Hideki and the Galor, or possibly a Galor replacement

Also, that Preylor class vessel, is it also cardasian?

the dranok is about 120-125m so abit larger then the defient, its the cardassians eqivalent to the defient, yer the preylor(crap name i know) is a cardassian ship its ment to replace the keldon,

i have 4 new ship concepts for u all, not my best but i think there ok, first is my tribute to my fave band cradle of filth the ships class as u will proberbly guess is the cradle of filth class, no. 2 is R1, then R2 then R3, i havent got names for them yet

Its an unique ship, not part of any class AS YET!!!
