Bridge Commander Tactics

Discover the cloak button. It is very useful for the Defiant. However, if you're using a standard Federation Defiant, then up your shields and impulse, lower your sensors, and up your weapons if you have the energy.

As far as tactics go, the only thing I can say is stay far away from the enemy ship's firing arc and once you think you can survive several hits, run in and gun down any crucial systems. I'm not saying it's a sure tactic though. I usually die several times using this but it has a success rate of about 70%.

Normal I cloak the Ship in the begin of a battle and sneak behind the other ships....then "bumm".
Use the speed and the pulse weapons...keep on eye of them because they crack the most shields in a short time.
With a Pulse/Quantum Combo...

The Phasers makes more or less no sense because it is not the primary weapon of the Defaint.

Also I use this ship very often with other high speed ships ...BoP or so against the Bugships...this is always nice to play.
