Default something is removing PnkBstrB.exe from microsoft services

Something is automatically removing PnkBstrB.exe from Microsoft Services

1. I ran the setup and updates for Punkbuster

2. The diagnostics for Punkbuster tests and says everything is OK

3. Then, I have McAfee allow PnkBstrA and PnkBstrB

4. Then, I check Microsoft Services and PnkBstrA.exe and PnkBstrB.exe are running

5. BUT then, I start BF2 and go on-line and select Multiplayer and when I select any server, the map loads and after about a minute or two I get an error that says "PnkBstrB initialization failed" or "PunkBuster Handshake Communication Error"

6. I then Quit BF2 and check my Microsoft Services and PnkBstrB.exe is missing although PnkBstrA.exe is there

Does anyone know why PnkBstrB.exe keeps getting removed from Microsoft Services and how to solve the issue ??

Thanks...Rob

I have the same thing happening here.
When I uninstall and install, I can see PbA and PbB in services.
and then some days later, PbB is gone from services !!!

I don't use any anti virus or spyware software.
It must be punkbuster problem!!!

I have been having the same problem I have contacted the makers of Punkbuster and have gotten nowhere. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the darn thing every time. I completely reinstalled the game did a complete registry removal and it still fails. I give up. I am sick of getting booted. Punkbuster stinks.

That is why I can't wait till AIX version 2.0, offline ranking FTW. No more Punkbuster issues and I can still do all the stuff that Battlfield 2 was designed for *cough* ranking *cough*

This has been left blank intentionally.......oh wait its no longer blank

and you won't play online then which is what it was truly meant for *COUGH*multiplayer*COUGH*.

I have just had to do a PB update on all my servers across the board. It could be that you guys need to update, not just install/reinstall. use the pbsetup proggy and see if that helps.

No, I spent 2hours doing that, I tried about 5 times with pbsetup.exe (the pb proggy) and still didn't work after loading a map after each one. I was getting pnkbstrB.exe problems rather than pnkbstrA.exe, but what I did was I deleted the pb folder in the BF2 directory and basically started a fresh.
