** PunkBuster Kicked???

Hi. I've been playing Battlefield 2 for a year now and have no problem. The last time I play was Sept. 22, 2007. Now after I enter a server and get to the Kits screen, I get kick out of the server with this message:

PunkBuster kicked player for (0 minute).
RESTRICTION : Service Communication Failure : PnkBstrA.exe


So what's going on? Do I need to download and install a new PnkBstrA.exe file? Where can I find that file?

i have the same problem only mine says problem with punkbuster b exc.

hehe just replace the exe file with another my friend sended his and i replaced it and mine works fine now

im pretty sure you just have to manually update your punkbuster and it should work

I went and do some of the instructions and I still get kicked out with that same message. ?? I check my folder C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\pb and see no file with the name "PnkBstrA.exe"?? So do I need to download this file? Where do I get it?

I finally tweak the computer so I can play BF2. Here are the steps you need to do if you have PunkBuster issues.

Go to the folder C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\pb
and delete everything under the \pb folder so you can start fresh. This is the PunkBuster folder.

Then go download PBSetup.exe from here:
PunkBuster Online Countermeasures

Save the PBSetup.exe to the \pb folder then Install it.

If you still have issue, then maybe it's your router firewall or Windows firewall. Open these ports so PunkBuster can communicate : port 44301, port 16567.

Sometimes when i play BF2 on a server...when i go in and play for like 5 to 10 seconds then PunkBuster kicks me out and says...Losing Key Packets...and i have NO idea wat that is.....so can someone help me out here plzzzzz and thx!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
