Join Date: May 20th, 2002 Location: Australia Status: Available Rep Power: 34 | Please don't start a new thread without finishing the last one, you need to check for hardware sound settings in your configuration files if you can't get to the sound menu ingame, as I last posted in that thread and Merrick has posted here. You need to do what we suggest rather than skipping possible problems otherwise we can't help you. Big Problem

Check in the audio.con files, there may be several, and make sure this line;
AudioSettings.setProvider "software"
Says software not hardware. Quote: |
and somewhere down the road were lucky enough to just jump into a single player (no internet) and walk 5 steps and freeze, we have to shut the computer off and restart it.
| Seriously, does the entire computer freeze? Or did you just restart it because you couldn't get BF2 to respond? Did you try alt/tab or ctrl/alt/del or alt/F4 to shut down the game?
Also suggest looking at the memory, you have made 2 changes either one of which could be the issue. Do you still have your old 6600, if you do plug that back in and see what it does with that.

Running along the plains, swinging buzzsaw hand extensions, cometh Apocalypse_kid! And he gives a gutteral grunt:
"In the name of malice, I will bend the enemy to my wicked will!" |
