ok so ive had bf2 for a long time now, i orignally used a fx 5700 LE but then found a geforce 6200 OC PCI card so i got that, it improved alttle but now my bf2 game crashes randomly to desktop my counterstrike source doesnt even load to the server all the way and my Americas army doesnt load up anymore. ive been reading a few threads and it seems they are having heat probs, am i having the same prob possibly.
my specs are
intel 4 CPU 2.80 GHz(2 CPUs)
1014 RAM
Geforce 6200 256mb
Main Driver:nv4_disp.dll
Version: 6.14.0010.9424
Most likely your having heating problems yes, to help this take off your side case, increase the speed of your fan with ntools (if you have one on the card) and clean out any dust or clogging in your computer.
k ill try that how about putting a little portable fan in front of the back vents so that cool air is blowing towards it....... i no that very ghetto but i cant figure any other way too cool it right now
and add 1 more gig what do i need that for?!
You dont need another Gb of ram i dont think i have the same ram as you and BF2 runs fine at 50 ping and CSS i suck at but runs fine.
yes you DO need another 1 gb of ram, bf2 needs at least 2 gm to run good, what does your comp/gpu temp running??if you're under 80 degrees celcuis, you're fine
They do make a 6200 pci card. He can run bf2 on 1gb as long as he hasnt his textures on high, and with a 6200 he wont have his textures on high.
You can clean the fluff off your fans etc and try and get some case fans if you want some cool air in your case. Make sure you also have the newest drivers available from Domain Maintenance
yes i know they do ... And that is my exact fact, they aren't that great. It is the majority of his problem in a nutshell right there.
He can clean all the fluff he likes, the card is still going to over heat.
