can't start the game
 

ok i was able to play bf2 fine on friday. i shut my computer down for saturday and most of sunday(went away). now when i double click on the icon i get the title screen, then it goes away yet no black screen. it's like the cd just stops and the game nvr starts up. i have no idea y this is happening. i reinstalled it twice and still a no go. it's patched to 1.3 but it doesn't help. it's so weird because it worked 2 days ago.

my specs:

nvidia 7950 gx2 1gig
amd 4200 dual core
2 gigs of ram
x-fi extreme music soundcard

Right click on the battlefield 2.exe

Select 'properties'.

Once in properties select the 'compatibilty' tab, and try checking all the boxes in the 'display settings' box.

And now try to run the game.

ok i got it working, i just had to update my soundcard driver. thanks for your help anyways.

glad you got it to work, interesting solution tho, i guess a system hog like bf2 is just so sensitive to everything, seems to know when there is a nu driver and refuses to work unless you get it.
