If you don't list your specs how are we supposed to help? Please get back to this thread with system specs.

as AK said, what exactly are your specs, without them we cannot help much

1st of all, a CPU is a processor, not a computer
and 2nd, where did you download the demo from??

EDIT: oh and Sturmbann, i read you have a Ti4200, which doesnt support 1.4 shaders which will there fore not work.

ok?, not work, the only solution is to get a new graphics card, and you need either a Radeon 9550 (i think) or an FX5700 minimum

As I recall you are having a similar problems with BF1942 Mafiaz. While your vid card is under spec other ppl have got them working ok with BF2, I can only conclude that whatever is causing the problem with BF1942 is also causing it with BF2. I suggest un-installing and re-installing DirectX because that seems to be the only thing we haven't looked at far aoart frm a complete Windiws re-install.

Re: Bf 2 Demo Wont Startup

demo from filefront. it works on my brother's pc, so i know its good copy.

second, i know my specs should work, even though outdated, i have been using them with games like call of duty: united offensive, doom3, half-life 2, and etc. without any problems (and on max settings).

AMD Athlon XP 1500+
1.36GHz, 1.00GB RAM
GForce TI4600

what else would you like to know...? im sure there is a driver / settings problem involved, as there are people with newer graphics cards that are having the same problems.

Don't worry Eagle One, I have done a search (on Der Sturmbannführerand's posts), and he has a GF4 vid card. He's been on another thread about it and already been told it's not supported and won't work. As if there isn't enough to do already without the hassle of searching somone posts to find his specs

Yes it's true Der Sturmbannführerand, as stated on the other thread, your vid card will not work, it doesn't support DX9 or shader model 1.4.

Well, that could be a problem! Or did you mean GB ?

Try updating your video card driver if it hasn't been done recently. Your specs look fine.
