New Computer. BF2 Wont work (new moniter and all!)

I think I finally figured it out. I dont know though. Battlefield 2 installed perfect. Everything is correct amount of memory and all! Its perfect until I say start bf2 and it has the black screen BUT! I flashes real quickly! Blinks fast a few times and shuts me off back to the desktop with no message. What is going on? I heard you have to have a DVD Drive? I have no clue what that is. can someone please help explain? Thanks. The black screen also makes a clicking sound! Don't worry, an Admin will move it there.

Please list your system Specs. Please be as detailed as possible. See example at bottom. Very hard to get started on troubleshooting the problem without system specs. For instance, if you had listed them I would know if this might be an LCD monitor issue.

Is this an LCD monitor? If so you probably need to edit a file. See this thread for instructions on how-to...

Black screen still

You only have to have a DVD drive if you have the DVD version of the game. You must have the disc in your drive regardless of whether or not you have the DVD or CD version of the game. If you do not have the disc in your drive the game will tell you to insert the disc and then restart the game, so I don't think that is your problem.
