Merciless 4.0

Does anybody else have problems with MCv4.0 and the 1.4 patch. Everytime I join a server the progress bar almost finishes but then the game quits to the desktop. Ive even reinstalled twice. Any suggesstions? Also is there a way to skip all the intro logos and movies w/out merciless?

looks like the 1.4 patch has caused a lot of problems w/ mods etc...

Whats causing your crash to the desktop is the fx folder. It seems as though the 1.4 patch thinks it contains cheats and therefore you crash back to the desktop. Youll loose your sounds if you delete the fx folder but if you want to play online your best bet is to get rid of the fx folder.

No need to delete the folder.Just delete the lines in the init.cons that refer to it!
