brightness problem HELP ME

my monitor isnt very new and i hope to get a new one soon, but untill then is there any way i can make everything brighter??? i allready have the brightness all the way up on the monitor and in game i cant find a brightness setting, so if anyone can think of a way to help please say something.

Hi archaic,

Go into the settingsd for your vid card and see if there is a gamma adjustment setting for your vid card, other than that I don't think there is anything else you can do.
