cd key in use

I have a real copy of BF1942, and have been playing for some time. I just started using Game Spy, and played a few times. Now I get a CD Key in use error message. What do I do? It is a real game with a valid cd key.

Uh, I've heard of this happening before and I know the cause. You didn't register your copy of BF so some other guy with a CD Gen generated your CD-Key. I suggest you either 1) Register right now so he can't play anymore or 2) Complain to EA about it so they'll know you are the rightful owner. I really suggest doing both really though. Good luck!

im having this problem too. i read that you need to take pictures of the back of your cd case and send the pictures to ea to get a new key. ive also read that if you clear your internet history it can also help, but other than that i don't think it has anything to do w/ the registration

I just tryed to register but it says my zip code is not valid, i know i put the right one in, what should i do?.

I've had this problem in the past. You'll need to contact EA, and they'll ask you to try clearing your temporary internet files. If that doesn't get you going, you'll need to either take a picture or scan the back of your CD case, then send the image to a special email address they'll give you, along with your name, phone number, email, mailing address, and CD key.

Once I did that (I just took the picture of my CD case with my webcam) and sent the email, it only took them until the next day to get my a new CD key and deactivate my old one to keep the guy who stole it from using it further.
