Makes No Sense
 

I thought i had solved the lockup problem last night by disabling MSN Messenger, i was playing a good 4 hours, no crashes with the recommended EA Audigy 2 setting for sound and medium graphics, I was brave and put the graphics all onto High, and low and behold it crashed after about 40 minutes, so i thought, "Oh ok it just dosnt like being on High" so i put the graphics down to medium expecting the game to be fine, and now it locksup every 10 minutes!!!!!!! It makes no sense, the only thing i can think is my system is overheating, but CPU is @ 40 degrees and VGA is running like a dream, its not my PSU (Antec TruePower 430w), if you read my previous threads you can see my system is fine, all it could be i think is RAM? i have 512mb DDR 2700 Generic RAM, maybe i should get some Corsair or Kingston? :( I dunno guys, i give up

I know this will make you gag, but! underclock your computer by setting the bus speed back to 100mhz, :lol: that will also set the memory back, if you problem is caused by suspect memory this should fix it and then you'll know for sure that it is a memory problem.

Id like to comment something everyone brags about this new SDRam and all this DDR stuff but I am running PC150 256mb gettin 75fps on a Athlon 1gig. Also the mem is running on turbo setting which is not capable on some ram. so :p

LOL....LedZep....you silly silly man. I hate to be the one to tell you this, but your pc150 IS sdramn...also, its not very new...about 6 years old. Now DDR is ALSO sdram, just faster than pc150... I wasnt trying to brag about my system with the underclock statement, for i have only a PIII933. I have a 512 of pc133 and a GF4 mx440...i to get 75 fps with graghics on high (no entities running around mind you lol)I was just making the statement because...i guess...he needs to underclock lol
