PLEASE HELP! - how to apply new skin Well...i've tried almost evrything to try and install a new skin i downloaded for a plane but nothing ever works. First i tried to extract the texture.rfa file etc. but when i went into the game to see if it had worked some of the textures had turned white. I had renamed the texture.rfa and had created the texture folder in the main battlefield directory due to the file being extracted and it still doesn't work. Then i tried to make my own .rfa file with MakeRFA which again didn't work. Now i have no idea what to do. Please help. Below r the steps i took at first to install the texture. 1. Extracted texture.rfa to the main directory of battlefield which created the texture folder. 2. Replaced the skin file i downloaded with the original in the texture folder. 3. Renamed the texture.rfa file to texture.rfa.old so that it would use the textures from the texture folder instead of the texture.rfa file. After doing this the textures in the texture folder still weren't being read and because i had renamed the texture.rfa file some of the textures had turned white. Any help is really welcome. Thanks alot guys. Sorry if i seem a bit stupid here but i genuinly need help. Thanks. |
i can't get them to work either.i got mersiless or whatever but im not sure if that helps i herd somewhere that it can put on skins |
hmm....haven't tried that. Please anyone help me! thanks |
not to worry...i finally got it to work!!! yay! I had a file in the archives section called texture_001.rfa which was being read instead of the texture.rfa file cos they both begin with texture. So i extracted the texture_001 file to my textures folder created when i extracted the texture.rfa file and then renamed them both and it works fine now with the new skins! |
