Hi CoolBreeze,
When I checked on Dells website for specs on the machine the CPU, mem and Mobo seemed OK, but this is all they said about the graphics configuration on the front page;
Quote:

Video Graphics: Advanced 4X AGP graphic cards for robust color and clarity.

In my experience when ppl start saying things in advertisements and spec sheets like "advanced", "robust", and "clarity" but don't actually tell you what the video chipset is, it usually means, "old and crappy and useful only for the internet and typing letters, but of course we're not going to tell YOU that, we want you to buy the PC."
Fortunately according to the tech specs it either has a Gf4 MX400 or a radeon 9700, could you let me know which one please. It may be a simple matter of upgrading the video drivers and DirectX version to the latest, so I would try that first. Also if you went for the flat panel option there were a few ppl here with flat panels that had the same problem a while back, and it was the resolution the game was running at that was causing the problem. Unless you run the game at the LCD's optimum resolution it will be unable to display text properly. Check you monitor specs fo the best res to run in (usually 1024X768 for 15")
get back to me
