How do you get back to the Menu??

This seems like a retarded question, but really? Is the only way to get back to the menu is to press Esc.? Every time I do this, it takes about a minute and sometimes it will crash my system. I might be overlooking something, but if someone can help I'd appreciate it.

p.s. the menu I'm talking about is where you can disconnect from server, or change video settings etc...

well, it depends, what your system Specs?

Fubar Frenzy January 11th, 2003 08:49 PM

System specs:

AMD 1800xp
512 DDR Cosair
40GB HD
Geforce 4 ti4200

I gotta say this, out of all the games I've played this year:

UT2003
Medal of Honor
Serious Sam :SE
Wolfenstein
Sof II

This is the most unstable, and this is very frustrating because I do love the game. Even with the latest patch, very weird things happen when I'm either in-game or trying to get to the game. I've tryed to reinstall with no avail. What to do...what to do...

As far as i know the only way to go to the menu is by hitting esc. If your sick of the disc spinning get a no-cd patch.:cya:

Hi Fubar Frenzy,

It always takes mine a while to exit, but it's a memory thing caused by only having 256Mb ram (swapswapswapswapswap) (doesn't crash though). Check to see how you have your virtual mem set, let windows handle it if it isn't already, your swap file may be too small. Also make sure you have the latest vid drivers from nvidia. Also defrag may help.

Good luck

Hey guys,

I actually took some advice on the forums to make it a little better. I set my audio down some. Also, since I have the 40.72 drivers, I went into the nvidia display settings and unchecked texture sharpening. That really helped out the gameplay. As far as pressing escape, it's still a pain, but not as bad.
