Exclamation Trouble starting a battle.

Hey gang,

Need some help! Having problems running this awesome game! Start to play a battle and I'm shipped back to the Windows desktop. My sytem is a Compaq Presario, 700 MGHZ, 512 MB ram, GeForce 2 graphics card with 32 mb ram. Running DirectX 8.1 but still cannot play! Help!!!!
I see that there is a retail patch for this game but, haven't downloaded it yet. I have returned the game and switched it for a new one. Still no luck! Please help!

Hi knightkitt,

We need more info. Are you trying a single player game, creating your own multiplayer game or playing online? If you are playing online you must install the retail patch cause all the servers are updated.

Hey apocalypse_kid,

Thanks for the reply. Just trying to play a single player battle. No plans for online playing right now. With my system, I believe I have at least the minimum requirements. Still, I can't get this thing to start.

Your system should handle that then. I can only suggets downloading the latest drivers from nvidia and seeing if that works.

Are the srivers for the Nvidia acuatlly on thier site or will Ihave to dgo to Compaq's site and find them there? Just wondering, I have had to go the computer maker for downloads. Also, should I first download the single version patch from Battlefield's website first? Thanks again!!

The drivers from the nvidia website will be the latest version for your graphics chip. It doesn't really matter in which order you install the drivers and the patch.

Let me know how you go.
