Default texture problem

hi, i have a problem with the texture.rfa file...
i unpacked the texture.rfa file with the rfa tool, and i edit one of the textures of the package (P51Fus_L.dds), with DDS Converter 2.exe i converted the dds into bmp, and after the edition, i converted again in dds... well, i replace the new dds file on the folder where all the texture.rfa pack is uncompresed, and replace the older one with my new edited texture.. and, i used GMakeRFA program for create a pack with all the textures and my new texture of course, so when te rfa file were created, i renamed this file like "texture.rfa" and replace the older one... but the proble is.. the game doesnt start?¿
what i can do for use my edited texture of a vehicle??
thanxs

ya...i don't think you can save it as anything else but texture unfortunately. Because they're are tons of other files that point to the texture folder to open it up so you can't just simply add a new name for it. But I wouldn't reccomend saving this to your bf1942 folder. Make a mod folder instead ;-)
