icon_question Custom Mods,Skins,Maps

I would like to know once you download a skin or mod and map how do you incorporate it into the game? I know you have to go through the game files I have Battlefield 1942 World War 2 Anthology and I was wondering how to add new maps and skins and stuff...The files tell me to go to my C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Archives ...I don't see this file when I go look for it ...Is this a hidden file or something or am I stupid and missing something here?

Here!

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Archives.

You are not stupid, you have just downloaded a mod/map or etc that was designed for the earlier version of the game, they changed the directory structure at the 1.2 patch I believe, and moved the archives folder. As a result many mods and custom skins from the early versions no longer work with the later patches. Make sure your mods are compaitble with the latest patch before installing or they will screw up your game.
