Which programs are all the skinners out there using
And which program is the best
please tell me because i wanna make a skin maybe too

For skinning, most people are using Photoshop with a special .dds plugin. I think you can get the .dds plugin on the site. You'll also need RFAExtractor to place your texture in the right area. As for mapping, I think most people use either 3D Studio Max or Photoshop with a special plugin that Rex developed although I'm not too sure. For modelling you could use Milkshape or 3D Studio Max. If you have Milkshape and you don't like the modelling tools compared to another program then make sure that your other modelling program can export to a format Milkshape can recognize ie. OBJ, LWO, 3DS.

so they use 3d studio max? ill have do get it. is there anyhting else like to place items or vehicles... or.... oh yeah is there a site i could download pre made buildings and stuff?

I think I found that plugin at http://rex3d.com/bf/downloads.htm but I dont know what to do next cuz i think the readme only has instructions for Studiomax and I have photoshop? :confused:

I need help imported .sm files in any of these programs. I have tried Milkshape, Gmax, and 3d studio max, none of em work.:confused:
