Problems getting BF2142 to Start

Hey im having problems getting BF2142 to boot up, it just seems to crash out into windows as soon as it starts. Im currently running it on my laptop but I would have thought it would still be able to run it.

Intel Core 2 Duo 1.66GHz
800MHz front side bus
2MB L2 Cache
2GBs 667MHz DRR2 RAM
160GB 5400rpm SATA HDD
Intel GMA X3100

Windows XP SP2
DirectX 9

Have you previously been able to run it well, or have you only just installed it?

I've had similar problems with battlefield before, and a reinstallation solved it for me.
