ah, thanks for correcting that. lol u learn something new every day.

but then what would be the purpouse of control ships? even if you did have them and found a use for them, you would also need something in the republic's side to balance it out. i hav realised, in inspecting previous mod maps, that trying to balance out an advantage on one side with a completely different factor on the other (eg. rebels get massive missile launchers, so empire gets twice as many troops) is incredibly risky.

if this doesnt help, im an idiot.

Talk about spamming, this isn't even related to Trainmaster611's map and stormtrooperjango your title describes you very well Can you guys please not post anything unless it is directly related to this project . I'm sure that would be a big help to Train and Filefront Staff.

Actually, there are those ships (too lazy to see what they're called, and forget atm) in the game. Look in Campaign.

And to be Ontopic:
How many ships per side and units on the Battlefield are there gonna be? I'm sure it's not anywhere close to your first predictions...

delta47...how could you think i was spamming? i was wondering if this map would have control ships for droids and whatwould be the consequences if so. you ned to read posts a little better before flagging them as spam.

anyways... if this map is going to have something like control ships or something like that can somebody please tell me because this is one of the first maps ive seen that are able to incorporate another special element into. and if it doesnt... it might be a good idea to do something a little like that... would make the game even more fun/realistic/well structured.

1. it isnt spam. i was directly on topic by asking if there were control ships.
2. thank you fingerfood for pointing out there are.
3. I know im going on about these control ships alot but as i said im my last message i am very interested in the idea and the enhancement of a contol ship just to let you know.

more questions to who ever is involved in this project!!!

1. the control ships... will they have hangars? auto turrets? the same components of another cruiser? more?

2. are you brining in any new, rare ships like tie defender or custom ships?

3. will you make it any other modes... like ctf or dogfight?

4. wil you be able to use the frigates for anything? like using as sort of vehicles and firing with them? and have a cp in them?

5. ever considered escape pods???

thanks to anybody who can answer my questions cos im really wantin to know

Because there were escape pods on the invisible hand in episode 3, they won't be much use in this map, but they would make a good addition if a ship gets completely destroyed and you can't get into a fighter, that is, if the ships can be completely destroyed in this map.

Ok well first of all about the control ships. If you look at the ep3 movie (which, believe it or not, I am basing this map off of) there were no actual control ship. There were lucrehulk battleships though which looked the same except without the spikes. Those will be in game.

1. Hangars and Autoturrets

2. If it was in the movie, then its going to be in the game

3. 'fraid not. I'm going to make a downscaled map for MP play

4. Only have autoturrets
